1. A second class-action lawsuit has been filed demanding General Motors take action to fix or reimburse owners related to CUE system repairs.

    The lawsuit points to multiple TSBs as evidence that GM has known about this issue since 2014 but continues to sell cars with the same defects.

  2. A lawsuit says GM is aware of manufacturing errors causing the Cadillac CUE screens to crack, bubble, and delaminate.

    The screens become unresponsive and out-of-warranty repairs can cost up to $1,200. The plaintiffs point to a series of technical service bulletins (TSB) GM sent to its dealerships between 2014 and 2017 as proof the automaker knew about installation problems. Specifically how a lack of preperation allowed moisture to enter the screens, effecting the bond between the glass and laminate surfaces.

  3. The days are getting shorter, the temperatures are getting colder, and it's time to fire up our car's defrosters.

    Unfortunately for 121,000 ATS owners, though, firing up their defrosters might actually start a fire. Cadillac issued a recall for the 2013-16 ATS sedans after four confirmed reports of fires from the rear defroster:

    "The defroster [overheats] due to a weak electrical connection in the module. The fires have been reported breaking out on the driver's side rear pillar where the defroster module is located."…

  4. The Cadillac ATS has a super-sensitive sunroof switch (yikes, try saying that a few times fast).

    GM says the sunroof can be activated too easily and is recalling 83,000 of the sedans to replace the roof console switch trim plate. Sound familiar? The same problem was recalled earlier this year. Obviously that didn't go so well.…

  5. Cadillac is pretty sure your car's brakes work.

    Of course, the Titanic captain was pretty sure there weren't any icebergs in the way (and we all know how that went down).

    Luckily for you, Cadillac has decided to check the brakes as part of a recall. Specifically, they'll be examining a bracket between the brake pedal assembly and the rod that controls the brakes. If that bracket is fractured, it will break the brakes ... so to speak.…
